Ingredients

  • Sprouted vaal (field beans), peeled
  • Onion, coconut, ginger-garlic
  • Goda masala, turmeric, red chilli
  • Tamarind and jaggery

How to Make Valachi Usal

    Sprout and peel the vaal beans (peeling removes the bitterness).

    Fry onion, coconut and ginger-garlic in the Anveshan Groundnut Oil and grind to a paste.

    Cook the beans with the paste, goda masala, turmeric, chilli, tamarind and jaggery.
