How to Make Usal Pav
- 1
Heat the Anveshan Groundnut Oil and crackle mustard and cumin.
- 2
Add onion, ginger-garlic and green chilli; sauté until soft, then add the tomato, turmeric and chilli powder and cook to a light masala.
- 3
Add the sprouts and water; simmer until soft and lightly saucy (no coconut, no goda paste).
Tips for the Best Usal Pav
- ✓This is the plain onion-tomato style — keep it light; save the coconut-goda gravy for matki usal.
- ✓Keep the usal lightly saucy so it soaks into the pav.
